It really isn't possible for LASR to cause a system crash, as the .NET framework will isolate any errors that may happen. Simply put, LASR isn't close enough to your computer's hardware to cause a system crash.

Your webcam, on the otherhand, is. And LASR needs to access your webcam. We have never seen a webcam so broken as to cause a system crash, but we have seen poor quality USB extension cables and hubs that can. Please try plugging your webcam directly into a USB port on your computer if this seems to be the case.

USB extension cables over 6ft need to have powered repeaters in them to prevent corruption of the data. Also, any wattage or voltage issues will obviously cause your computer to shut down in order to protect itself.
