There are two things that can cause this:

1. Windows is not up-to-date

Even if you think Windows is up-to-date, please check by clicking on "Check for updates" under Windows Update. You can find more information on Windows Update by clicking here.



2. Third party anti-virus software blocking the installation.


LASR is code signed with microsoft and not malicious in any way. However, third party anti-virus software will often interrupt the download because reasons. You may need to disable your anti-virus software in order to install LASR. 

There are dozens of different anti-virus programs that we don't manufacture and cannot provide support for. If you are having trouble with a third party anti-virus, you need to contact that program's manufacturer. 

Sometimes third party anti-virus software takes control of the firewall as well. To be sure, please turn your firewall off during installation:
